SHRI KRISHNA is worshipped as the 8th incarnation or ‘Avatar’ of Lord Vishnu, He is known as the God of love, tenderness, protection and compassion. He is one of the key characters in Mahabharta, The Bhagavata Puranas and The Bhagavad Gita.
Lord Krishna’s life is painted here in the form of stories and are titled under the ‘Krishna Lila’. In this painting the artist has covered the various stories about Shri Krishna- right from His birth to Devaki and Vasudeva in the prison to the story of Him being a teacher to Arjuna in Mahabharta. In between, the artist has covered stories of Lord Krishna’s childhood, His victory of Kansa and His love for Radha and other Gopis.
